We are sorry many plants sold out last year at the Regional Convention. We are looking to increase them this year, and hope to have many more available by Fall.

H. GREYWOODS ALLIE KATZ (Wilkinson 05)   Dip.   Sev. 35”  EM-M  5”                S/O
A round, rolled back dusty claret is inhanced by a huge triangular plum red eye, that bleeds into a yellow center with a good green throat. ALLIE KATZ brings an unusual combination of parents into the dip gene pool. [Sdlg (KARENS CURLS X  CAT DANCER) X NAVAJO PRINCESS]

H. *GREYWOODS COUNTRY TART   (Wilkinson 04) Tet.  Sev. 26”  LM  6”             S/O
Very voluptuous best describes this large blousy bloom. Rolled, wavy and ruffled, the bright rose coral bleeds into a vivid yellow center and a waxy grass green throat. Even the 25+ buds are plump. Pretty green foliage, and nicely fertile.  (MOMENTUM X IDAS MAGIC).

H. *GREYWOODS CURB APPEAL  (Wilkinson 03)  Sev. 30” M. Re.  6 1/2”              S/O
A nice landscaper with large blooms on taller scapes of raspberry mauve with a deeper rose violet eye. The gold center bleeds into a grass green throat, while a gold filigree sometimes throws knobs in the summer's heat.  (PIRATES PATCH X SONG WITHOUT WORDS) X CLOTHED IN GLORY

H. GREYWOODS DISCO DANA  (Wilkinson 03)  Dor. 29” LM  Dip   UF                     S/O
This interesting 8” + bloom flings itself in all directions – curled, twisted, rolled.  Never the same. The vivid gold self fades to lighter edges in the PM, likes its mom. Huge grass green throat. Fertile with 3 branches. Excellent. (GREYWOODS GREAT DANA X PALE MOON WINDMILL) Ltd

H. *GREYWOODS DIXIE BELLE  (Wilkinson 03)  Sev. 32”  M-LM  6 3/4”                65.00
This flower is always perfectly groomed, just like a Southern Belle. The big flat blooms are a pastel pink – more blue than peach. A soft creamy yellow center bleeds into a larger grass green throat.  A yellow gold rim throws knobs and teeth in the heat. Tall, showy and a good parent.   (SHERRY LANE CARR X GREYWOODS PAINTED PONY) X ED BROWN)   A few.

H. *GREYWOODS DOTCALM  (Wilkinson 02)  Dor. 26” EM-M  5 1/4”                     S/O

H. GREYWOODS DOTTIE DO LITTLE (Wilkinson 04) Dip. Dor. 21”  EM 3.5”          S/O
When I made this cross of GREYWOODS TOOTSIE TWO SHOES X Curt Turner’s VICTOR VICTORIA, I had no idea that the result would be a stippled double. But, that’s the wonder of hybridizing. This charming small plant is a creamy pink, stippled rose pink with a slight rose band and a green throat. Doubling is consistent, and the 20+ greenish buds are even unusual.  A few.

H. *GREYWOODS DRESSAGE QUEEN  (Wilkinson 02)  Dor.  M-LM  27”                  38.00
Down the Center Line and always a perfect test (as in the horse show world), this daylily never misses a beat. Consistantly round, it’s a 5 1/2” light creamy pink with a vivid raspberry rose eye, prominent radiating rose veins and a rose rim. Good grass green throat. Very clean clear colors! (SPLENDID TOUCH X STRAWBERRY FIELDS FOREVER)   Ltd.

H. *GREYWOODS FRUITE DE LOOPS (Wilkinson 04) Tet.  Sev. 29” LM-L                 S/O
The photo does not do justice to this 6’ hot rose pink bitone, which has more pink than coral in it. Very lacy, the ruffles are pleated and the heavy substance is smooth and saturated. The sepals are lighter, scapes have 3 branches and 28+ heavy buds, and it bloomed until mid Aug. here.  (SEMINOLE WIND X SPACECOAST STARBURST)

H. *GREYWOODS GOODNIGHT IRENE  (Wilkinson 05)  Sev.  28”  M-LM  6”             S/O
I’ve named this beautiful daylily in honor of Irene Melin. Both she and Al were long time members of NEDS, and were my mentors in my early hybridizing years. At over 6”, this voluptuous bloom is a flat coral mulberry rose with a deep peach-gold halo, edged rose and matching bubbled gold ruffles.   (SPACECOAST STARBURST X GREYWOODS PAINTED PONY).  Ltd. Can be tender north of Zone 5.

H. *GREYWOODS GRAPHIC ILLUSION  (Wilkinson 03)  Sev. 30”  M-LM                   W/H
Working with complex eyes is part of my hybridizing program, and this 5 3/4” flower reflects progress. A soft creamy buff bloom holds a multi-patterned eye of irregular raspberry mauve that bleeds into slate and violet layers. A yellow-green center into a green throat.  (BLUE EYED BUTTERFLY X (Sdlg: BECKY STONE X GREYWOODS PAINTED PONY)

H. GREYWOODS GREAT DANA  (Wilkinson 02)  Dor. 29”  EM  DIP   UF                    S/O
A spidery 8.5 to 9.5” UF, this twisted crispate starts out a clean yellow gold in the morning and by afternoon the edges fade to a vibrant cream above a gold center and a radiating olive throat. A very showy large flower, good increase, 3 branches and 18-25 buds. Winner of the STANLEY E. SAXTON Region 4 Hybridizers Award at the 2001 National, and a JC. It is producing exciting, unusual kids.  (MIGHTY HIGHTY TIGHTY X JAN’S TWISTER)   Ltd.

H. *GREYWOODS JAVA ILLUSION (Wilkinson 04) Tet. Dor. 38”  L. 5.75”                  35.00
Tall lates are hard to come by, and I’m very partial to this lovely garden favorite. Starting in Aug. here, it is a violet mauve with a round golden cream halo that’s rimmed in violet. Almost a bitone, the petals are edged in yellow gold and the form is flat. Loaded with scapes and good increase. [SDLG (ED BROWN X ENCHANTED APRIL) X FLYING CARPET]  A few.

H. *GREYWOODS LADY BE GOOD  (Wilkinson 00)  Dor. 25”  EM  5”                           S/O
Good manners and consistency are the key here. This daylily is definitely a ‘do gooder’. Round, crimped and nicely ruffled raspberry coral with a faint red eyezone. The flame orange center bleeds into an olive green throat. Pretty blue green foliage and many scapes. (STRAWBERRY CANDY  X  NEWBERRY REAL FRILLS)  A few.

H. *GREYWOODS LOFTY LIZZIE  (Wilkinson 00)  Dor.  38”  M to ML  8 1/2 ” +          40.00
Almost a variant, this showy hem radiates a golden yellow self. Most exciting are the ruffled edges of teeth that increase as it gets warmer. Long blooming. A tall cultivar of great drama to add to the TET spider program. Producing super kids.  (NEWBERRY REAL FRILLS X TET SPINDAZZLE)

H. GREYWOODS LONESTAR (Wilkinson 04) Dip Sev. 38” M-LM  UF                                FALL
A spider with proportions of 4.6:1, and a 9” wingspan, this huge star is a rose burgundy with a large yellow-chartreuse center. By afternoon, the open flat petals turn back and sometimes cascade. Commanding in the garden, the 4-way branching and 30 buds add to the drama. (GREYWOODS TOOTHACHE PURPLE X MARKED BY LYDIA).  Needs winter mulch north of Zone 5/6.  A few.

H. GREYWOODS NAUTICAL NELLIE  (Wilkinson 06)  Sev. 34” LM  Dip   UF              20.00
This  wonderful 8 1/2 to 9 1/2  open star-like  UF is a pink lavender with a rose-red chevron eye that almost reaches out to the petal ends on some days. A yellow center bleeds into a green throat and the sepals roll back. (MIGHTY HIGHTY TIGHTY X STAR OF FANTASY)

H. *GREYWOODS ON THE FENCE  (Wilkinson 03)  SEV. 27”  LM  5 1/2”                    S/O
This color break is definitely on the fence in uniqueness. The pastel mauve blooms exhibit a deeper mauve violet eye surrounding deep gold that runs into an olive green throat.  Opens a new and different color horizon in hybridizing. (Sdlg X ARGYLE SOCKS) X CREATIVE EDGE)  Tender north of Zone 5/6.  Mulch.

H. *GREYWOODS PAINTED PONY  (Wilkinson 06)  Dor. 34”  EM-LM                          S/O
A 5 1/4” TET of mauve pink star-like mouse petaled almost bitone with lighter sepals by afternoon.  An intricate pattern of mauve into washed navy blue blends out to cream, with a good green throat. 3 to 4 low branches with 30 buds on a very long blooming plant. Throws complex blue eyed seedlings and UFs.   (ANGEL’S SMILE X ISLE OF DREAMS).  A few.

H. *GREYWOODS PAPPA JOE  (Wilkinson 06)  Tet. Dor. 32” LM 6”                           40.00
Named after my dad who taught me all there is to know about farming and gardening, this wonderful double is a very saturated deep red, with a gold into a small green throat and crimped edges. Deep green foliage, and stout husky scapes with 25 buds. Dbl. 85% of the time.  (OBSIDIAN X SERENA DARKHORSE)

H. *GREYWOODS PONYTAIL CLASSIC  (Wilkinson 03)  Sev. 27”  M. Ext.                  S/O
Classic in form, this happy plant is a good landscaper. The 5 3/4” blooms are a clean creamy lavender with a large, bold plum eye and rim. A nice green throat, long bloom, many scapes & vigorous. (WEDDING BAND X (Sdlg: MOONLIT MASQUERADE X PIRATES PATCH).

H. *GREYWOODS ROAD TO MECCA (Wilkinson 04) Tet. Dor. 32” M-LM                        S/O
Sometimes you know that a plant will be an intro from day one, and R2M was such a daylily. The 6” cream buff blooms have a large bold, black plum eye and a vivid grass green throat. A small black plum edging surrounds the petals. The very flat blooms fade to cream white by afternoon, and the eye seems to darken, offering a bold contrast of colors. 3 branches, 25+ buds. Good parent.  (MASKED PHANTOM X SABINE BAUR)   Ltd.

H. GREYWOODS RIVER DANCER  (Wilkinson 00) Dor.  23”  EM  7”  DIP    UF           FALL
A creamy yellow polychrome UF brushed pink in the AM, the thin petals roll and twist by noon. The color mellows out to embrace more cream by evening. The throat radiates green and the many scapes have lots of blooms open at once. Foliage is moderately sized. An interesting parent for spiders and UFs. (CAT DANCER  X  JAN’S TWISTER)

H. *GREYWOODS ROSEBERRY SORBET (Wilkinson 00) Dor. 34” LM 5 3/4”                  S/O
Color is the emphasis here.  This beautifully formed velvety flower is a rich hot raspberry with a painted on red eyezone, into a small yellow to green throat. Fluted and recurved by PM.  A hint of a violet midrib adds style. (MARISKA  X WINEBERRY CANDY)  Ltd.

H. *GREYWOODS SANTA FE BOOGIE  (Wilkinson 06)  Dor.  34”  M.  6”                      45.00
Part of the focus here at GWF is to offer plants that perform well as landscapers, and GW SFB does just that. It’s a clear, round orange peach with a hot JANICE BROWN type of red eye, outlined deeper red and a ruffled red border. A deep grass green throat and the hint of a violet midrib add to the charm. Fertile and hardy. 3 Br/ 24+ buds.  [BORDER MUSIC X Sdlg (TET JANICE BROWN X GREYWOODS LADY BE GOOD)]

H. *GREYWOODS SPIDERS LAIR  (Wilkinson 03)  Dor. 34" M.  6"                               30.00
Stipples on a spidery Star! The 6”+ blooms have a peach bronze base that is flecked overall with rose stipples and a rose eye. The rims contrast with a dusty-rose border that throws knobs and teeth later in the season. Pretty buds. All this on a thin star with good foliage and 3 branches.  This is a new direction, with different tet. parents to add into the spider pool.  (Sdlg: DRUIDS CHANT X Sdlg 94-107) X GREYWOODS LOFTY LIZZIE)  A few.

H. *GREYWOODS SUNNY SMILES  (Wilkinson 05)  Dor.  40”  EM-LM 7”+                   40.00
Certain daylilies just bring a smile to your lips during the 6 AM coffee walk – and SUNNY SMILES is just such a plant. This landscaper is a bright clean lemon yellow STAR, with a heavy green radiating center, moderate ruffles and twisted sepals. Even the buds and the backs of the petals are saturated green. Long blooming and a valuable hem for green in dormant spiders. 25-32 buds, 3 to 4 low branches and very pollen fertile. [(GREYWOODS LOFTY LIZZIE X (SDLG 94-107 X TECHNY PEACH LACE)]

H. *GREYWOODS SUNRISE FROST (Wilkinson 04) Tet. Sev.  34” M-LM                         S/O
Much admired by many garden visitors, this is a tall showy 6.5” cream white. The ruffled, undulating rims are a golden yellow, and as the day progresses a yellow center wash becomes more prominent as the ground fades to white.  3 branches & attractive foliage. [SHERRY LANE CARR X SDLG (ADMIRALS BRAID X WEDDING BAND)]  Can be tender north of Zone 5/6.  Mulch.

H. *GREYWOODS TALLYHO  (Wilkinson 05)  Dor.  38”  M-L   8.5” - 9.5”                        FALL
A  new color direction for the tet. Spiders. This spidery looking bloom is a light peach pumpkin with a large triangular mauve violet eye and matching ruffled trim.  Blooming into August here in MA, this is the plant to use for spider borders and that special color. 24+ buds, and very commanding in the garden.  The word TallyHo is derived from the Norman “ty a hillout”, and is the cheer from the hunt field when a pursued fox is viewed. (GREYWOODS PONYTAIL CLASSIC  X  GREYWOODS LOFTY LIZZIE)   Ltd.

H. GREYWOODS TOOTHACHE PURPLE  (Wilkinson 01)  Dor. 30”  LM-L                        S/O
This color is so good that’s it’s like eating ice cream with a toothache!  It’s a spidery 7 1/2”+ UF that twists and rolls - a hot lavender violet that turns iridescent by evening. A big yellow center blends into a cream halo and joins the whitish midribs. Vivid green throat. An unusual color to bring into the DIPLOID spider program. (TRAHLYTA X PINK SUPER SPIDER).

H. GREYWOODS TOOTSIE TWO SHOES  (Wilkinson 06) Dor. 25”  LM  4”  Dbl              FALL
DIP.  My mom, who’s nickname was Tootsie, loved pink hems, and was a wonderful dancer, so I named this frilly pink DOUBLE after her.  Double almost 85% of the time, this is a happy, vigorous well proportioned plant.  It’s a creamy pink, almost polychrome, with a yellow halo,  a faint rose band, and serrated rims.  It’s a lovely gem for the front of the border.  (EXOTIC ECHO X LAGNAIPPE).

H. GREYWOODS WORKHORSE WILLIE  (Wilkinson 06)  Dor.  40"  LM-L                     28.00
The Photo just doesn't do this plant justice. A 7 1/2” long pealed hardy, late out of TET SPINDAZZLE that sets pods. A bitone of medium coral peach with showy gold midribs and golden yellow sepals touched coral. The petals have a thin band of jagged gold, and the STAR like form gives the illusion of a spider. 4 low branches, 28 well spaced pretty buds, Very showy in a clump.  (NEWBERRY REAL FRILLS X TET SPINDAZZLE)
