Beginning early, this blousey JI seems to wave in the breeze. Amethyst purple with a soft grey-blue cast by afternoon, the petal centers are flecked with white. White stylearms tipped lavender violet. (MIDSUMMER REVERIE X Sdlg: (WINGED SPRITE X FRILLED ENCHANTMENT).

GREYWOODS CATRINA (Wilkinson 02) 6F EM 35” S/O
As mysterious as her Siamese namesake, this lovely iris is a clean wavy white with violet rose veins, deeper towards the center, radiating out from saturated yellow signals. Contrasting violet rose stylearms are tipped white. A very elegant garden statement. 2 branches, 3 buds. (FRILLED ENCHMANT X MIDSUMMER REVERIE)

Aloof and reserved this cascading form is a fushia violet with center radiating white lines and a few white stipples randomly placed. White stylearms trimmed fushia and yellow gold signals. 2 branches, 3 buds. Pretty color. (GREYWOODS AMETHYST MIST X SKYROCKET BURST).

Blousey and wavy this iris is a bold magenta purple with darker lines shading out to creamy violet rims. Ages to medium violet purple. A hint of blue surrounds the bright yellow spears, and styles are deep purple by afternoon. Excellent performance with 2 branches and 3 buds. Reminiscent of the game my daughter loved, this unusual flower has a hazy white ground with lots of mappy violet blue lines to the edges. Yellow gold signals and tufted blue violet stylearms are tipped white. This flower radiates blue from afar. 2 branches, 3 buds and many scapes. The color of this JI caught my eye from day one. It’s a white ground overlaid medium violet blue with variable white lines and thin lavender veins. This wide flaring bloom seems to dance in the breeze. Wavy violet petals from a slight blue violet washed center upon opening, and white lines fanning out to a creamy violet edge. Beginning early in the season this JI continues performing for weeks. Cascading mauve violet petals from a violet blue center wash, fades into violet white at the edges. In my continuing quest for blue JIs, this flower was an introduction from the day it first bloomed. A cousin to GW FLOWING WATERS, it has a clean sky blue wash on a white ground with paler edges. From a very productive cross, this is only one of many exciting kids. Large and flamboyant, this JI is a bright white stitched and flecked blue violet, with blue violet lines and deep blue violet stylearms. Showy yellow signals complete the picture. GREYWOODS SNOW ETCHINGS (Wilkinson 00) 6F ML 34” 12.00
This exquisite flower is a clean, crisp snowy white with few violet pink lines extending to the rims. The contrast makes the lines themselves appear etched on the white petals. Very undulating and wavy, the white ground is accentuated by a very dark near-blue halo and radiating blue rays, that age to violet blue. Very dark blue violet falls with contrasting wide white rays – like the stripes on a zebra. Small upright dark blue violet standards with a white center. Huge flower with 3 branches and 4 buds.
