2019 DAYLILY INTRODUCTIONS OF DARLYN WILKINSON

*GREYWOODS COUNTRY DIVA  (Turner/ Wilkinson ’19) Tet. Dor. 29” ML 5.75”    S/O    Lovely pink with a hint of blue-lavender offsetting a yellow halo, and voluptuously-wide looping yellow gold ruffles.  Blooming from the end of July until the third week of August, “Country Diva” is fertile both ways.  2-3 way branching and 18 buds. A full sib to Curt’s Country Wonder.  #T09-54B  (Desire of Nations X Fringy)   Limited      ~~~~~

*GREYWOODS CYBERCHICK  (Wilkinson ’19)  Tet. Dor. 33”  EM  7.5”                       40.00  Showy sunflower yellow, open star shaped bloom (almost a UF), with an interesting broken pattern of rose, violet and cream – also on the sepals.  Green Throat.  Great to take to the patterned spiders.  3 Br/ 17+ buds.  Fertile.  [Life is a Highway X (Stenciled di Fresco X Greywoods Apache Woodsong)]   Limited         ~~~~~

*GREYWOODS LYLA MAY  (Wilkinson ’19)  Tet. Sev. 32”  LM  6”                              S/O  Like a Southern gal, “Lyla May’ is always fashionable and well groomed, with a glowing complexion!  A hot pink, almost a bitone, with a grass green center and white gold ruffled rims. A hint of a contrasting white midrib. Husky scapes and a standout in the garden.  Top 3 Br/ 17-21 buds. Nicely fertile.   [Greywoods Knuckles and Nuggets X (Lonesome Heart X Icicles)]                                                               ~~~~~

*GREYWOODS MARBORO MAN  (Wilkinson ’19)  Tet. Dor. 38”  M-LM  6.75”                S/O  My choice for ‘Landscaper’ last year, it’s bold, reliable and a great garden plant.  Saturated coral-peach thin pedaled bloom with crimped & ruffled gold rims. Green throat.  Long blooming, with sturdy scapes, many buds, and nice foliage.  Interesting breeding.  4 Br/ 22-26 buds. Fertile.  [(Greywoods Tooth Be Told X Flaming Flamingo) X Outer Limits)    ~~~~~

*GREYWOODS TUDOR TAPESTRY  (Wilkinson ’19)  Tet.  Dor.  31”  M  6”                  S/O  Broken patterns are all the rage now, and here’s one to add to your collection.  This lavender coral bloom is enhanced with a washed eye of violet to raspberry to irregular cream. Variable depending upon the temps (sometimes more coral, sometimes more shaded lavender).  Thin violet rims on the petals. Good substance and husky scapes.  3 Br/ 16-21 buds.  Nicely fertile.  (Four Beasts in One X Thai Temple)      ~~~~~

*GREYWOODS VARSITY BLUES  (Wilkinson ’19)  Tet.  Dor.  34”  EM-M  6”                 S/O   A tidy bloom, this is a color-saturated delight.  The cream flower is stamped with a deep washed maroon-blue eye pattern, ringed in raspberry.  Fades slightly by evening, but still lots of slate shading.  Hot blue maroon petal rims.  Good green throat.  Strong scapes. Top 3 Br/ 16-20 buds.  Fertile. (Blue Wrangler X Maya Blue)   Limited         ~~~~~

*GREYWOODS WHISKEY MEMORIES  (Wilkinson “19) Tet Sev 36” M-LM  6.5”   42.00   Here’s an ‘in your face’ flower, that’s the opposite of GW Lyla May.  A bit like a rowdy boys night out!  It’s a medium pumpkin blend with a large deep maroon violet eye and wavy, ruffled maroon violet rims.  Strong scapes. Exuberant!  3 Br/ 16-19 buds. Fertile.  [(Greywoods Desert Fox X Jinxy) X Greywoods Apache Woodsong]    A few.     ~~~~~

2018 DAYLILY INTRODUCTIONS OF DARLYN WILKINSON

*GREYWOODS BELLA LUNA  (Wilkinson 18)  Sev. 30”  M-ML.  5.75”                S/O  Although there are many almost white daylilies, I think this bloom is another step closer to that quest for white.  A near white with nicely pleated ruffled rims touched yellow, it has a heavy substance with noticeable indented cream veins. Small yellow center into a deep green throat. Fertile with wonderful plant habits and husky scapes. 3 branches & 19 to 23 buds.  [Greywoods Shades of Lace X Sdlg (Wedding Gown X Greywoods Dixie Belle)]       ~~~~

*GREYWOODS CLAWS AND EFFECT  (Wilkinson 18) Dor. 31” M-ML  6.75”  Re.        25.00    A most intriguing bloom and a good landscape type plant, this peach-pink, thin pedaled flower has a rose band, white midribs and sepals that are blended with yellow-cream. Lots of gold ruffles, knobs and teeth with husky scapes and nice branching. Fertile and rebloomed here until September. 3+ branches & 21-24 Buds. Great parents to cross onto the spiders for teeth.  [Greywoods Frocks and Frills X Sdlg (Forestlake Ragamuffin X Outer Limits)     ~~~~~

*GREYWOODS DANCE THE DUST  (Wilkinson 18)  Dor. 32”  M-LM  6”                 S/O  Ltd  This daylily exhibits a trait that I’ve mostly seen in the Blue Hostas.  It’s a soft bluish lavender, with a wide blue mauve band and a ruffled blue mauve edge on the petals. The whole bloom appears coated in a chalky white haze on most days. Like a thin translucent white glaze making it seem very ghostly!  Light green throat and fertile. Lots of blue in the parentage. 3 branches & 18-23 buds.  [Sdlg (Blue Hippo X Blue Beat) X Greywoods Chasin’ The Blues]                                                 ~~~~~

*GREYWOODS INCA DAWN   (Wilkinson 18)  Sev. 32”  EM  6.5”                                   S/O   A lovely bloom of clean near white, it’s an “almost” spider that has been a favorite of mine for spider patterns. It has a notched multi-patterned eye of washed cream, lavender to slate, out to a deeper violet. Nice lighter jagged pattern on the sepals with a good light green throat, and a thin violet wire rim.  Showy and great to cross either with the spiders or the round patterns. Moderately pod fertile & good pollen.  3 branches & 17-21 buds.  [Cindy’s Tie Dye X Sdlg (Get Jiggy X Greywoods Krystal Kid)]            ~~~~~

GREYWOODS LINES OF CHANGE  (Wilkinson 18)  Dip. Dor. 31”  M  6”             68.00   Although I am not specifically working for stripes, I do occasionally throw GW Dottie Do Little’s pollen around, and this is one of those lovely results.  Bloom is a medium lavender pink infused with irregular creamy white stripes. Apricot veining shows up at times along with a consistent white midrib. A large apricot throat radiates out into the petals. Very interesting and nicely fertile. 2-3 branches & 16-21 buds.  [Pink Stripes X Sdlg (Greywoods Dottie Do Little X Pink Stripes)]     Limited                 ~~~~~
