Having experienced September eleven from five blocks away, I named MEMORIALIZE to commemorate the lives lost then, and in all unexpected tragedies. Its quiet beauty and four-way, twin-tower branching is further represented in its dusky rose-lavender petals, pale plum sepals and lightly grayed-rose margins on both petals and sepals. A casually ruffled, cold-hardy bicolor diploid, MEMORIALIZE’s lovely plum eye, echoing plum outer-band pencil eye, plum petal-veining and vivid green throat is anticipated in buds that are colored on the top 2/3rds in striking mauve and on the bottom in clear medium green.
