ROWLEY ROYALE
[C. Turner -- 2009] 37" Dor. EM 5.5" Tet
My best green-throated near-black with decent northern bud-count in twenty years of cross-breeding dormant near-black tetraploids from many hybridizers. ROWLEY ROYALE is a lightly ruffled dark red/purple self with a lighter plum midrib and a greyed-purple band that color transitions down the throat to maroon-red, gold and a lovely green core. [[(Rev. Joseph Barth sdlg x Ed Murray) x (Midnight Magic x Unk)] X Unk ]] $30 DF -
PRINCESS KATE
[C. Turner - 2007] Dor 3.25” M 31” Dip
Exhibiting the fresh-aired open loveliness of another winsome addition to the royal House of Windsor family, PRINCESS KATE is a near-white, diploid, cold-hardy self with a clean, clear light-lavender eye with darker lavender veins within the eye that change to a light pumpkin-beige as they spread outwards towards a fine-translucent edge of the same color; a creamy light-yellow outer throat over an apple-green inner throat; and a slate-white midrib bisected vertically by the thinnest charcoal silken thread. $50 SF -
GABRIEL’S WEATHERVANE
(C. Turner 2006) Dor. 42” M 4" Dip
Pointing the way to a new direction in diploid daylilies, GABRIEL’S WEATHERVANE holds its widely-separated, creamy-yellow, trumpet-shaped blossoms on tall, four-way, well-spaced branched scapes that carry up to 20 buds. The elongated milky-smooth blooms portray an airy elegance that is restful and soothing, displaying a small green throat at the end of the long, narrow, four-to-five inch trumpets. Awarded “Best Seedling” at the New England Daylily Society’s 2005 Flower Show with five well-spaced blooms open on a single scape, GABRIEL’S WEATHERVANE is valued for both its show presence and its usefulness to hybridizers. $25 DF -
MEMORIALIZE
(C. Turner 2005) 29” Dor EM 4" Lt frag Dip
Having experienced September eleven from five blocks away, I named MEMORIALIZE to commemorate the lives lost then, and in all unexpected tragedies. Its quiet beauty and four-way, twin-tower branching is further represented in its dusky rose-lavender petals, pale plum sepals and lightly grayed-rose margins on both petals and sepals. A casually ruffled, cold-hardy bicolor diploid, MEMORIALIZE’s lovely plum eye, echoing plum outer-band pencil eye, plum petal-veining and vivid green throat is anticipated in buds that are colored on the top 2/3rds in striking mauve and on the bottom in clear medium green. Fertile both ways. $20 SF -

TWO MELANIES

ONE IF BY LAND
(C. Turner 2008) Dor. 49" E. 4.5" Dip
A new color addition to tall, northern-hardy, early, diploid lines. ONE IF BY LAND's warm amber-orange colors are set off by golden midribs and a throat that concludes in a deep smidgeon of green. Well-spaced, four-way branching with 21 buds are held well-above medium-green foliage. $20 DF **Please order this plant directly from Greywood Farm** -
DAFFY TAFFY
(C. Turner 2008) Dor. 40" M 3" Dip
Featuring a soft, circular, candy-corn melding of beige, rouge, and yellow, DAFFY TAFFY is a striking diploid in clump-strength with its green throats providing lovely counterpoints to the color blends of its blooms, and its scapes being resistant to the strongest of winds. Showy in the landscape. $20 DF ***Please order this Plant directly from Greywood Farm *** -
SHORT RIBS
(C. Turner 2008) Dor 36" M 6" Tet
A lovely peach/rose/lavender Tet blend with a crinkle-soft beige/yellow edge. It’s deeper lavender midrib uniquely truncates at a rose pencil-outline encompassing a washed-peach halo which blends into a gold upper-throat and a green lower-throat. Coloration increases as the thermometer rises. Started from outdoor sown seed, SHORT RIBS is cold-hardy and fertile both ways. $20 DF -
