My best green-throated near-black with decent northern bud-count in twenty years of cross-breeding dormant near-black tetraploids from many hybridizers.  ROWLEY ROYALE is a lightly ruffled dark red/purple self with a lighter plum midrib and a greyed-purple band that color transitions down the throat to maroon-red, gold and a lovely green core.
